PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of forming an air passage shape suitable for the condition even in a condition in which ventilation resistance in an air passage is changed and being operated with a high air blowing efficiency. PSOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with a scroll casing 10 forming an air passage member on a rear side in the direction of rotation of an impeller 9 arranged in the air passage, a blow-out port upper side guide part 13 forming an air passage member on a front side in the direction of rotation of the impeller 9, and a blow-out port lower side guide part 13 connected with the scroll casing 10. The scroll casing 10 is composed of a scroll casing swirl part 10a on the upstream side in the direction of flow of air and a scroll casing connection part 10b on the downstream side. The scroll casing swirl part 10a is displaced by a swirl part variable mechanism 19 to change flow passage cross sectional area between the impeller 9 and the scroll casing swirl part 10a or a blow-out port lower side guide part 12 is displaced by a blow-out port lower side guide part variable mechanism 20 to make flow passage cross sectional area of a blow-out duct 14 variable.
