PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set groups in buoys to operate all the buoys in the group by one control, and to execute individual separate operations for the sound source buoy and the echo-sounder receiver buoy with synchronization. PSOLUTION: This bi-static sonobuoy has the sound source buoy 7 and the echo-sounder receiver buoy 8 dropped from an aircraft, floating on a sea level by a float after landing on the water to suspend an echo-sounder transmitter or echo-sounder receiver into the water, and searching an underwater target by a sonor. The sound source buoy 7 and the echo-sounder receiver buoy 8 are provided with an address storage circuit for storing channel addresses and group addresses, an address group deciding circuit for determining the channel addresses included in control signals 201, 202, the group addresses thereof and commands thereof, and a controller for inputting the command to execute a prescribed operation.
