PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display with a Fresnel lens reflection layer, which has a function to prevent eyes from being dazzled with the aid of scattering effect occurrence, with which excellent brightness and contrast are obtained, brightness is improved and interference of light rays is avoided.;SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display with the Fresnel lens reflection layer is characterized by having an upper transparent electrode 31 on a surface of an upper transparent substrate 1 adjacent to a liquid crystal layer 3, having a lower transparent electrode 32 on a surface of a lower transparent substrate 2 adjacent to the liquid crystal layer 3 and having a dielectric layer 4, a resin layer 5, the reflection layer 6 and an insulating layer 7 disposed in this order between the lower transparent substrate 2 and the lower transparent electrode 32, wherein the resin layer 5 is constructed by aligning a number of units 51, each unit 51 corresponds to each pixel of the liquid crystal display, further all of the respective units 51 have a number of intervals which are all provided with concentric ring structures of the Fresnel lenses to reflect or scatter incident light X.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
