PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a U-phase coil and a V-phase coil from contacting with each other by the shifting or floating of paper between V phase and W phase. PSOLUTION: The stator of a three-phase induction motor has a stator core, a three-phase coil which includes a U-phase coil, a V-phase coil, and a W-phase coil mounted on the stator core, inter U-V phase paper which is arranged between the U-phase coil and the V-phase coil, and inter U-V phase paper, which is arranged between the V-phase coil and the W-phase coil, and the end face of the above stator core is provided with a step which allows the edge of the paper between U phase and V phase to abut on it.
