PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel improving durability while ensuring a high friction coefficient, making traveling at a curved portion smooth by improving sliding in an axial direction of the wheel, and having a tread forming portion.;SOLUTION: On outer periphery of a wheel main body 21 of the wheel 20 for traveling on a track, the tread forming portion 230 for forming a tread 230a contacting with the track is provided. Recessed portions 241 to 243 provided on an outer peripheral surface of the wheel main body 21 and opening along the outer periphery, and friction reinforcing material 25 disposed in the recessed portions 241 to 243 and to increase frictional force are provided. The friction reinforcing material 25 has a relatively large friction coefficient as compared with the wheel main body 21, and the wheel main body 21 has a relatively large strength as compared with the friction reinforcing material. The friction reinforcing material 25 is disposed in the recessed portions 241 to 243 while some parts 251 to 253 are exposed to the tread 230a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
