PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking assisting tool with wheels having a standing-up assisting function, and a movement and transfer assisting tool.;SOLUTION: When a person 7 sitting on the assisting tool puts the feet on a footrest 1 attached on a body of the assisting tool, the footrest goes down caused by the weight of the feet, the bottom face of the footrest is brought into contact with the floor, and the movement of the body of the assisting tool is suppressed by its frictional resistance. The assisting tool supports the person 7 from the shank to the knee diagonally from below so that the person 7 can stand up easily in a stable posture with less burden on the knee or the waist. The assisting tool is as secure and comfortable to sit as a wheelchair because the weight of the person 7 is dispersed and is supported by the footrest 1, a shank support 2, a handrail 3 and a hanging band or a seat plate 4 at the hip. The assisting tool is a multi-functional assisting tool and can be used as either a walking assisting tool or a movement and transfer assisting tool having the standing-up assisting function.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
