PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a disease with an antagonistic fungus which has an antagonistic ability against the various diseases (bacterial diseases, actinomycosis, mycotic diseases) of sweet potato and potato and can be fixed to root faces, to provide a method for using the antagonistic fungus, and to provide a method for culturing the antagonistic fungus.;SOLUTION: A method for using the antagonistic fungus B1-35 strain (Penicillium Fungus) which has fixity to the root faces of sweet potato and potato and has an antagonistic ability against the various diseases (bacterial diseases, actinomycosis, mycotic diseases) of the sweet potato and the potato, a method for proliferating the antagonistic fungus, and the control effect of the antagonistic fungus are clarified. Thereby, damages due to the various diseases (bacterial diseases, actinomycosis, mycotic diseases) of the sweet potato and the potato can be avoided by mixing the culture product of B1-35 strain with soil or dipping seeds or seedlings in the suspension of the spores of B1-35 strain.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
