ROUGH MATERIAL SHAPE OF RING ROLLING FORMING ARTICLE AND RING ROLLING FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rough material shape of a ring rolling forming article and a ring rolling forming method capable of preventing an article's wrinkles or flaws owing to a lap of the surface layer from occurring with no drop in productivity.;SOLUTION: A pair of inclined faces 9 are provided like a taper in a corner portion between an outer peripheral surface 1a and both side surfaces 1b of the rough material 1 formed like a ring, and the pair of inclined faces 9 of the rough material 1 is pressed with both shoulders 10 of an annular groove 8 in a forming surface 5a of a forming roll die 5 to roll-form a step portion in the corner portion between the outer peripheral surface and both side surfaces of the article. The surface layer portion of the slanted face of the rough material 1 is roll-formed so as to copy the shoulder 10 so that the inclined face 9 is jackknifed by the line of contact with the shoulder 10. This allows the article's wrinkles or flaws owing to the lap of the surface layer to be prevented without impairing productivity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
