PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation column of high separation performance and high enrichment performance, in particular, for a low-molecular ion, allowing flow under low pressure while keeping ionic resolution, as use for an ion chromatography unit. PSOLUTION: An organic porous ion exchanger packed in the separation column for this ion chromatography unit has continuous cell (non-cellular) structure having macro pores communicated each other, of which the radius has 0.01-50m of meso pore inside a wall of the each macro pore, and three-dimensional network structure wherein total pore volume is 1-50 ml/g, wherein a value provided by dividing a peak width at half height of a main peak in a pore distribution curve with a radius of a peak top is 0.5 or less, and wherein ion exchanging groups are introduced to bring an ion exchange capacity within 0.1-5000g equivalent/g dry organic porous ion exchanger.
