PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display of an inputted electronic sign while facilitating the registration or change of authentication information.;SOLUTION: This method comprises steps of: accepting the input of the electronic sign through an input interface as track information in an outline font; reading control point information for a registered electronic sign that is the base of authentication from a storage medium storing the information of the registered electronic sign; generating track information of the registered electronic sign on the basis of the control point information of the registered electronic sign; collating the track information with the track information of the registered electronic sign to confirm the matching degree; and determining and outputting the propriety of authentication based on the matching degree to an output interface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
