PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closer suited for use in the transportation and handling of a pivoting sash that firmly holds the sash closed.;SOLUTION: A component stile 1a of a Shoji stile 1, which is assembled to a sash frame 3 in such a manner as to be rotatable in its opening and closing directions, comprises a main frame 2 assembled to the component stile 1a while being engaged between clamping pieces 6, 7 oppositely provided at both ends of an intervening piece 5; and a closing frame 4 provided with an operating piece 16 opposite to a locking piece 15, at one end of an assembled piece 11 having provided at the other end the locking piece 15 hooked to a door stop piece 19 along the opening direction of the Shoji stile 1, the door stop piece being provided on a component frame 3a of the sash frame 3. The assembled piece 11 is slidably fitted over the outer surface of one clamping piece 6 in the direction in which the locking piece 15 locks and unlocks a tip 19a of the door stop piece 19, whereby the main frame 2 and the closing frame 4 are assembled together. A clamping screw which engages the one clamping piece 6 upon the locking piece 15 being hooked to the door stop piece 19 is engaged with the assembled piece 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
