PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a self-supporting ability is conventionally determined by a person so as to be unnoticed a change in the self-supporting ability and if noticed, it it sometimes too late. PSOLUTION: This self-supporting ability determination device is provided with a behavior detector 4 detecting that a prescribed subject's posture caused by the living behavior in a prescribed living space is changed from a sitting posture to a standing posture and is changed from the lying posture to the standing posture, and a data processor 5 determining the change in the self-supporting ability of the subject when the detected change frequency is fluctuated by a prescribed value or more.
