PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for aligning optical waveguides and an optical fiber capable of reducing a manufacturing cost of an optical waveguide module, a method for aligning the optical waveguides and the optical fiber using the same, and a method for manufacturing the optical waveguide module including the same.;SOLUTION: The aligning apparatus for aligning the 1x4 branched optical waveguides 42 provided with a light input end and four light output ends for emitting the incident light from the light input end and the input optical fiber 12 is configured to have a condenser lens 50 which condenses the light made incident on the light input end from the input optical fiber 12 arranged near the light input end and emitted from the light output ends and a photodetector 20 which is provided with a photodetecting surface having a width narrower than the width arranged with the light output ends and receiving the condensed light and detects the intensity of the light.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
