PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sampling method of a test sample of the weld zone between billets without interrupting continuous rolling and without lowering the yield of products.;SOLUTION: This method is a sampling method of the test sample of the weld zone between the billets by which the weld zone 3 between the billets 1, 2, which are continuously welded in running and fed to a rolling stand train 5, is tracked till a rolled material to be rolled is cut and divided with a dividing shear 6 and cooled on a cooling bed 7 and, when it is judged that the weld zone 3 is situated at the head in the direction of conveyance of the material to be rolled which is cut and divided, the cut length of the material to be rolled is controlled so as to cut longer by one length of a test material sampled as a test sample.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
