FORMING METHOD OF PROCESSING PATH INFORMATION FOR CAD/CAM DEVICE, AND THE CAD/CAM DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the formation of processing path information for generating an NC program for processing a model from a three-dimensional model in a CAD/CAM device.;SOLUTION: This forming method of the processing path information for the CAD/CAM device comprises a process for determining whether the wire processing of a surface is possible or not and the presence of a tool path interference, and automatically recognizing the processable part by a wire working machine of the three-dimensional model; a process for forming the path a wire processing path of an optional height Z from the part processable by the wire processing machine, dividing it to groups in processing units of a wire, and automatically recognizing a wire processing method from the three-dimensional model to form the processing path; and a process for performing a processing setting based on the information referred to by the three-dimensional model, and performing a proper processing setting of the wire. According to this, the recognition of a processing part and the formation and processing definition of the path which conventionally had been performed by an operator can be automated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
