PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardness measuring instrument for vegetables and fruits equipped with a temperature correcting function capable of accurately measuring the hardness of vegetables and fruits without being affected, for example, by the environmental temperature of a room, a farm or the like, and a method for measuring the hardness of vegetables and fruits.;SOLUTION: In the method for measuring the hardness of vegetables and fruits constituted so that the vibration data of a vibrator for vibrating a probe is fed back through a self-exciting oscillation circuit in such a state that the probe is brought into contact with vegetables and fruits to set a resonance state and the hardness of vegetables and fruits is measured on the basis of the change data of the frequency from the self-exciting oscillation circuit based on a change in the vibration of the vibrator brought into contact with vegetables and fruits through the probe, the change data of the frequency is corrected on the basis of the temperature frequency correction data preliminarily stored based on the temperature of the vibrator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
