PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a scale adhesion preventing agent for a paste vinyl chloride-based resin, which effectively prevents adhesion of scale to the inside of a polymerizer without adversely affecting qualities of obtained paste vinyl chloride-based resin in the polymerization of the paste vinyl chloride-based resin and to provide a method for producing the paste vinyl chloride-based resin using the same.;SOLUTION: The scale adhesion preventing agent for the paste vinyl chloride-based resin comprises a condensation product of α-naphthol and formaldehyde and an alkali metal salt of a polyvinyl alcohol.
