PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize automatic switching control of a liquid injection space in a liquid injection device which has a carriage capable of switching a space between a liquid injection head and a material to be injected within the carriage.;SOLUTION: It is judged whether or not a printing PG mode is designated in a printing command (step S1). If the printing PG mode is designated, it is judged whether or not a count value of a PC counter is an unfixed value (step S3). If the count value of the PC counter is an unfixed value, an AUTOPG resetting sequence is carried out (step S4). In the case where the count value of the PC counter is not the unfixed value, it is judged whether or not a value of the printing PG mode agrees with the count value of the PC counter (step S5). In the case where the value of the printing PG mode does not agree with the count value of the PC counter, an AUTOPG switching sequence is carried out until the values agree, thereby switching a PG (step S6).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
