PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mass-produce melanin-decomposing matter produced by wood-decaying fungi belonging to the genus Pleurotus ostreatus.;SOLUTION: A method comprising culturing the wood-decaying fungi belonging to the genus Pleurotus ostreatus in a medium ≤3 in the ratio C/N( wherein, C is the weight of a carbon source in the medium(g); and N is the weight of a nitrogen source in the medium(g) ) is provided.
