PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurization/denitrification agent capable of removing sulfur oxide and nitrogen oxide simply and continuously. PSOLUTION: The desulfurization/denitrification agent comprises CuxMyOSB6/SB(wherein x is 0.8-1.2; M is Ta alone, Nb alone or an arbitrary mixture of Ta and Nb; and y is 1.8-2.2). The SOSB2/SBabsorption amount (mol SOSB2/SB/mol Cu) of the desulfurization/denitrification agent is preferably 0.3 or more and sulfur oxide and nitrogen oxide in gas can be removed by the desulfurization/denitrification agent.
