PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revolution speed measuring device and a method of a bearing rolling body, capable of measuring the revolution speed of the rolling body highly accurately, and a bearing diagnostic device.;SOLUTION: When a laser beam L is radiated in the direction passing the center of the rolling body R, the direction agrees with the normal of the rolling body R, and therefor the laser beam L is reflected vertically, and the reflected beam is reflected by a beam splitter BS, and received by a photodetector PD. When the laser beam L is radiated in the direction shifted from the center of the rolling body R, since the irradiated point is inclined, the laser beam L is reflected with an angle corresponding to the inclination, and the reflected beam is directed to a position where the beam is not received by the photodetector PD. In other words, when the rolling body R moves, the reflected beam can be measured by the photodetector PD only on the prescribed position (the position wherein the laser beam L passes the center of the rolling body R).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
