PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent formation of a welding projection in a penetration welding, by a high density energy beam, of welded members comprising aluminum or aluminum alloy with each other. PSOLUTION: When the penetration welding is applied by irradiating, with the high density energy beam(laser beam L), the portions 1a to be welded of the welded members 1, 2 comprising aluminum or aluminum alloy, a shield gas atmosphere (an inert gas atmosphere) G2 which covers at least the surface of the portion 1a on the irradiated side by the high density energy beam and the shield gas atmosphere (the inert gas atmosphere) G1 which covers at least the surface of the uranami B forming portion 2a are concurrently composed. The shield gas atmosphere G1 shields the circumference of the uranami B and pushes up the keyhole against the pressure of the shield gas S in the laser beam irradiation side, so that the droop of the molten metal (bead) is prevented and the formation of projection caused by the droop is prevented.
