ARTICULATOR, METHOD FOR FABRICATING DENTURE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING OCCLUSAL VERTICAL DIMENSION IN FABRICATION OF DENTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an articulator capable of accurately reproducing the occlusal vertical dimension in the oral cavity of a patient to fabricate a denture good in occlusion in a short period of time.;SOLUTION: The articulator 1 has a lower frame 23 having a lower jaw support part 21, to which a lower jaw model 20 can be attached in a freely detachable manner, on the upper surface thereof, the strut parts 30 vertically arranged to the rear part of the lower frame and an upper frame 13 having an upper jaw support part 11, to which an upper jaw model 10 can be attached in a freely detachable manner, on the rear surface thereof and mounted on the strut parts in an on-off movable manner. One or more kinds of disc plates 40 different in thickness are prepared with respect to the support parts 11 to obtain the articulator 1 which enables the model mounting surfaces of the respective support parts to move in parallel to the respective frames by replacing the disc plates. The occlusal vertical dimension can be adjusted by respectively independently adjusting the horizontal positions of the upper and lower jaw models, and the positions of the upper and lower jaw models coinciding with the occlusal vertical dimension in the oral cavity of the patient can be easily obtained on the articulator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
