PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structured document conversion apparatus for improving the efficiency of the document processing of a structured document without losing any available document information by the conversion of the structured document. PSOLUTION: The structured document conversion apparatus is provided with a structure analysis part 32 for analyzing the structure of a structured document, and for preparing a tree structure including hierarchical information specifying the parentage of each of nodes of elements and a text, and a tree structure conversion part 36 for reducing the hierarchy of the structured document based on the tree structure.
