WORK METHOD FOR CRUSHING REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work method that reduces drill work noises, eliminates flying crushed blocks and crush hard articles, particularly reinforced concrete.;SOLUTION: Crushing agent holes 2 each with the caliber of about 20 mm are drilled in a structure to be crushed. A low-noise electric-power drill is used for drilling work. Crushing agent 3 filled in the holes 2 is limited, for instance, to thermite, a mixture of aluminum and copper (II) oxide and/or iron (II) oxide. For igniting the crushing agent 3, a high resistance wire 5 is inserted directly into the crushing agent 3 to electrically ignite it. This invention has two separate processes especially for crushing reinforced concrete structures: a process to peel off cover concrete from reinforcements, and a process to crush peeled off concrete blocks. This has enabled hard-to-crush reinforced concrete structures at streets to be crushed only with a small amount of thermite easily, safely and without large noises.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
