PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize test items to be set to each examinee, to secure fairness among examinees, and to make operations easy for examinees in a computer adaptive test.;SOLUTION: A computer adaptive test system is provided with an initial value setting part 101 which sets an initial value of a level value of an examinee on the basis of answers to an initial test item group, a test item database 17a for storing all test items therein, a measurement part 103 which selectively extracts and presents test items corresponding to a level value close to the initial value or an estimated level value, to the examinee and collects answers to test items, an answer evaluation part 105 which evaluates answers of the examinee to estimate a level value of the examinee, a convergence discrimination part 107 which discriminates whether the level value meets a test end condition or not and outputs a level value meeting the test end condition, and a result storage part 109 for storing the level value together with collected answers.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
