INSPECTION METHOD AND INSPECTION DEVICE FOR NUCLEAR REACTOR PRESSURE VESSEL BOTTOM DRAIN PIPING

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably inspect RPV bottom drain piping in a pedestal of a nuclear power station while reducing a radiation dose received by workers. PSOLUTION: Fuels are taken out of a reactor containment vessel (S1), a radiation transfer rod equipped with a radiation irradiation port in its end part is extended (S3) in the pedestal on the downside of the pressure vessel, and air is injected (S5) into an air injection bag which is fixed to a CRD housing and to an ICM housing. Then, a radiation source is transferred to an end of the rod (S6). Likewise, a rod with an imaging member attached to its end is fixed to the CRD housing and ICM housing to perform RT photographing by irradiation with a radiation (S7). This device is used to inspect the RPV bottom drain piping that complicates nearby inspection. This device makes it possible to safely and reliably inspect the drain piping in the power station.
