PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating solution composition for forming a siloxane polymer coating film, which forms a coating film having a reduced occurrence of cracks and excellent reliability of a temperature cycle test, etc., and to provide an optical waveguide formed by using the composition.;SOLUTION: In the siloxane polymer obtained by hydrolyzing and condensing an alkoxysilane represented by general formula, R_mSi(OR')_4-m (R and R' are the same or different and each hydrogen, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkenyl group or their substitution groups; and m is an integer of 0-2), the siloxane polymer has 100,000 weight-average molecular weight and the ratio (Mw/Mn) of the weight-average molecular weight (Mw) to number-average molecular weight (Mn) of ≤22. The coating solution composition for forming the siloxane polymer coating film comprises the siloxane polymer. The optical waveguide having a reduced occurrence of cracks and excellent reliability after a temperature cycle test, etc., is obtained by using the composition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
