PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a granular raw material having high substantially equal or similar grain shape ratio while suppressing the generation of cut powder.;SOLUTION: When a sprue S is charged from an inlet 3 in a casing 5, the sprue S is cut to the granular raw material having high substantially equal or similar grain shape ratio while the sprue S is moved from above to below. Since the sprue S is set to a temperature lower than a melting temperature to a glass transition temperature in the casing 5, that is, the sprue S is made a softened state, the cut powder is hardly generated. Even if the cut powder is generated, the cut powder is entrained in softened finely cut pieces, and accordingly the generation of the cut powder can be entirely suppressed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
