PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet non-ejection detecting device that can detect presence or absence of abnormal ejection without precisely setting a positional relationship between an ejection nozzle of a liquid droplet jet head and a liquid droplet detecting section by assuring high reliability even when it is used for a long time or a quantity of an ejected liquid droplet is small, and to provide a liquid droplet jet device.;SOLUTION: This liquid droplet non-ejection detecting device 50 detects abnormal ejection of a liquid jet head for ejecting a liquid droplet. The liquid jet droplet non-ejection detecting device 50 comprises a sensor 500 having a piezoelectric member with electrodes and oscillating in a predetermined natural frequency, a driving means for allowing the sensor 500 to oscillate in the natural frequency, and a detecting means that detects presence or absence of abnormal ejection of the liquid droplet jet head based on a detected value obtained by detecting the natural frequency or a physical value corresponding to the natural frequency when the liquid droplet jet head ejects a droplet toward the sensor 500 in a condition that the sensor 500 oscillates in the predetermined normal frequency.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
