PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new VEGF inhibitor and an anticancer agent containing the same as an active ingredient, and a new selective COX-2 inhibitor and an anti-inflammatory agent and anticancer agent containing the same as an active ingredient.;SOLUTION: This VEGF inhibitor is expressed by general formula (1) [wherein, R¹, R² are each phenyl, a heterocyclic group, or the phenyl or heterocyclic group of which at least one H is substituted by a group selected from a group consisting of hydroxy, a 1-10C alkyl, a 1-10C alkoxy and R³-S- group (wherein, R³ is a 1-10C alkyl) or a halogen atom, and R¹, R² are each the same or different]. The anticancer agent contains the VEGF inhibitor as the active ingredient.
