PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handwritten message system with a high degree of freedom that can transmit the feeling, emotion, or the like of a sender at different times only by a simple operation. PSOLUTION: The handwritten message system comprises a reading means 11 for automatically reading message information being handwritten on a message paper M and selected illustration information, a conversion means 12 for changing the message information being read by the reading means 11 and the selected illustration information into electronic data, a transmission means 16 for transmitting the message information and selected illustration information being changed into electronic data by the conversion means 12, a reception means 41 for directly or indirectly receiving the message information and selected illustration information that are transmitted from the transmission means 16, and a display means 44 for displaying the message information that is received by the reception means 41 by attaching a selected illustration.
