PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coke oven cover for accelerating the rise in temperature which accelerates coking of coal particles introduced into the neighborhood of the oven cover of a coke carbonization oven and remarkably inhibits the formation of tar and its adhesion.;SOLUTION: The coke oven cover has an insulation box 11 provided on the oven inner side of an oven cover structure 3 which opens and closes a port 4 of the carbonization oven 1 into which coal particles 2 are introduced, the insulation box 11 being fitted with spacing cross frames 16 at the positions which divide the oven height into a plurality of stages, and a segregated chamber 15 for circulating a gas formed in the oven having a bottomless structure in which rectangular plates 17 for shielding infiltration of coal particles having fine venting gaps 18 on either side are provided in the space between the upper and the lower spacing cross frames 16 to line up them lengthwise and crosswise, and simultaneously the upper ends of the rectangular plates 17 for shielding infiltration of coal particles are movably arranged hanging from the spacing cross frames 16.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
