PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly provide a high-quality slab by reducing the number of generation of rolling marks and reducing the number of flaw removal accompanying that by lowering the deformation resistance of steel and tensile stress at rolling without bringing about the drop of productivity and the increase of manufacturing cost and without making a considerable change to conventional equipment when performing blooming after heating the slab manufactured by continuous casting.;SOLUTION: This roll is a blooming roll provided with flanges at both ends of a roll. Rolling is performed by using the blooming roll the roll caliber of which is inclined linearly toward the direction of the center axis according as it approaches the neighborhood of the middle part from both ends in the axial direction or the roll caliber of which is concave.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
