METHOD FOR CHARGING FORMED COKE INTO BLAST FURNACE ACCORDING TO COKE PROPERTY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for charging a suitable amount of coke separately produced into large diameter formed coke and small diameter formed coke into a prescribed position in a blast furnace depending on their respective characteristics (reactivity, grain diameter, strength, etc.).;SOLUTION: The method for charging the formed coke according to its properties by using both of chamber-oven coke and the formed coke as the coke for blast furnace, (a) the small diameter formed coke (10 to 30 mm average grain diameter) and the large grain diameter formed coke (60 to 80 mm average grain diameter) are separately produced, (b) the small diameter formed coke is charged into the vicinity of the furnace wall by mixing, if necessary, this coke with iron raw material (10 to 30% of the whole coke mass) and (c) the large diameter formed coke is charged into the furnace central part (2 to 10% of the whole coke mass).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
