PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mandrel for unwinding and/or winding machines for a metallic strips with which proper roughness is maintained even in long-term use and a unwinding and/or a winding machine provided with this mandrel.;SOLUTION: This machine has the mandrel the surface covering layer of ≤30 μm thick of which consists of, by mass, 10-30 % chromium carbide, 5-15% NiCr and also the balance tungusten carbide and the surface roughness Rz ( ten point height of roughness) of which is 20-140 μm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
