LINING TYPE EXPANSION FACILITY FOR HIGHWAY BRIDGE, AND ITS CONSTRUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lining type expansion facility for a highway bridge having an excellent absorbing effect on crack developing and an excellent drainage effect on a surface layer.;SOLUTION: An expansible waterproofing top cover 21 put on from above straddling first and second joints A, B holding an expansion gap S of concrete floor slabs 10 is fitted and fixed by a pair of facing keep plates 22a, 22b, and a drain pipeline D elastically deformable but not buckling and allowing the inflow of seepage water from the surroundings is installed in a recess G partitioned by the top cover and partition pieces 29a, 29b continuously rising from both keep plates. Lining of the surface layer 12x of draining pavement P is carried out from above. The seepage water in the surface layer is discharged along the cross-fall of the highway bridge by the drain pipeline while absorbing development of the crack initiated from the expansion gap as a source.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
