PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic lottery method providing fairness of a lottery by lotting a character string arbitrarily registered by each participant reflected on a result of the lottery.;SOLUTION: A character string that will be a winning number is determined by three character strings that are a host character string (undisclosed and unchangeable until a start of the lottery) preset by a host from a host management terminal 30, a server character string (undisclosed until the start of the lottery) automatically set by an electronic lottery server 20 at registration of lottery information, and a participant character string set by each participant from user terminals 10. After finishing a lottery process, the three character strings that are the participant character string, the host character string and the server character string are disclosed to each participant on the user terminals 10, and propriety of the lottery result is verified by having each participant refer to a lottery method that has been disclosed before carrying out the lottery process and reproducing the lottery process by changing an optional character string.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
