DEVICE FOR RECOGNIZING MOVEMENT OF BATON, AND INSTRUMENT PLAYING ROBOT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a percussion instrument playing robot for playing the percussion instrument with rhythm and stress in harmony with the movement of a baton wielded by a conductor.;SOLUTION: The time to start playing drumsticks of a percussion instrument and the motion thereof are calculated by photographing and analyzing the movement of the baton of the conductor, and performing arithmetic processing of the movement on the basis of the time when the calculated acceleration of the baton changes upward. The percussion playing robot which plays the instrument with sound volume and rhythm in harmony with the movement of the baton wielded by the conductor can be provided by making a manipulator start performance from the calculated time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
