PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a playing-back apparatus capable of starting next playing-back from a suspended position when the playing-back of an information recording medium is suspended.;SOLUTION: When the playing-back of an optical disk 17 is suspended, the identification information of the optical disk 17 and the suspended position information are stored into a work memory 19, and the information of reproduced contents is stored into a contents data storage section 18. When resuming the playing-back, a disk ID recognition section 16 recognizes the identification information of the optical disk 17, reads the suspended position information from the work memory 19, initializes a disk recording/playing-back section 15 while the playing-back operation is performed from the suspended position by using the information of the reproduced contents stored in the contents data recording section 18, and then continuously performs playing-back of the optical disk.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
