PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fast-Fourier transform (FFT) processor capable of reducing data output delays, power consumption, and making hardware structure complicated. PSOLUTION: A signal converter, having a memory bank and a radix-2 FFT section converts an OFDM signal, having a long preamble and a data into an OFDM signal in a frequency region. The radix-2 FFT section has a pipeline structure, performs FFT transformation with respect to the long preamble stored in the memory bank, and stores the FFT result into the memory bank. Further, the radix-2 FFT section performs FFT with respect to buffered and input data, as well as to directly input data, and stores the FFT result data into the memory bank. The memory bank includes four memories, in which the long preambles prior to FFT and after FFT are stored, respectively. As the data of the FFT result are input, the memory bank outputs the stored long preamble or the FFT result data for demodulation. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
