ANALYZING METHOD FOR CONSOLIDATION YIELD STRENGTH AND ALLOWABLE STRESS OF GROUND USING SOUNDING TEST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide firstly a method for estimating consolidation yield strength using sounding test results instead of conducting a consolidation test where a consolidation deformation amount is determined with an existing calculation formula when consolidation yield strength is demanded, and secondly to provide an allowable support force of the ground when the ground composed of various soil layers is affected by multiple layers in a lower part of a foundation bottom face and upper and lower layers of an underground water surface.;SOLUTION: In an analyzing method for the allowable bearing power of the ground, firstly an allowable support force is calculated using a ground strength analysis method with a sounding test. Also, in a ground deformation analyzing method, the allowable support force is considered as an external force, a consolidation settlement amount is calculated, and the allowable support force generating a deformation below an allowable consolidation settlement amount is adopted as the allowable bearing power. If the allowable support force causes the deformation exceeding the allowable consolidation settlement amount, a value obtained by reducing the allowable support force is adopted as the external force. Then the consolidation settlement amount is calculated, which is repeatedly done until the value becomes lower than the allowable amount, so that the allowable bearing power is determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
