PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm operation of an image recognition device with high reliability in a short time.;SOLUTION: Images of a component are previously picked up under various recognition conditions 28a, 28b, 28c, and are recognized by a normal image recognition device. Recognition results thereof 26a', 26b', 26C' are stored in files 26, 28 together with the component images 26a, 26b, 26c picked up under each the recognition condition. In time of inspection of the image recognition device, each the image of the component under each the recognition condition stored in the file is taken in the image recognition device to be inspected and is recognized, and a recognition result thereof is collated with the recognition result stored in the files to inspect the operation of the image recognition device. Thereby, a time necessary for operation confirmation can be reduced. Because quality of each the operation confirmation is stable, the image recognition device can be inspected with high reliability to improve component mounting efficiency.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
