PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid problems that the correspondence relationship between a speed change operation and the corresponding speed change ratio differs since the output voltage of a potentiometer is affected by the charged state of a battery when the operation position of an operation end for manual speed change in a continuously variable transmission is detected by the potentiometer.;SOLUTION: The output of the potentiometer and the correspondence of the corresponding speed change ratio are examined by a voltage value when the output voltage of the potentiometer reaches the maximum at either the termination of travel to the downshift side of the operation end or that of travel to the upshift side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
