PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a space required for storing films and to simply confirm a condition of a disease of a patient until a certain point of time by reducing the number of films to be used for a round visit to patients, or the like, with respect to a medical image edition program, to provide an edition method therefor and a medical image edition apparatus. PSOLUTION: Only images in a segmenting frame 37 of images 33a selected from among a plurality of kinds of original images 33a to 33i obtained by using different kinds of diagnostic imaging apparatuses are segmented and pasted along a frame 38 of a template 30. Thus, only key images securely expressing a lesion of the patient are segmented from among the original images photographed by the different kinds of diagnostic imaging apparatuses, and medical images obtained by only these key images are edited with the passage of time. The film with the medical images printed is used for the round visit, or the like, so that the number of films to be used for the round visit, or the like, can be reduced. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
