PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a western style toilet bowl unit inexpensive because an existing toilet bowl is utilized, wherein a function means is installed afterwards, and the excreted urine volume is simply measured independently of the user's sex.;SOLUTION: This urine information measuring device is equipped with a urine-collecting receptacle 22 for accepting the user's urine, a urine component concentration measuring means 20 installed on the western style toilet bowl unit equipped with a water reservoir part for accepting the user's urine similarly and a trap part for discharging the urine dropped to the water reservoir part to the sewage together with the reserved water, for measuring at least the sodium concentration and the potassium concentration included in the user's urine, a reserved-water component concentration measuring means 10 for measuring at least the sodium concentration and the potassium concentration in the water reservoir part, and a urine volume estimation means for estimating the excreted urine volume based on the measurement result of the urine component concentration measuring means 20, the measurement result of the reserved-water component concentration measuring means 10 and the measurement result of a sodium concentration and/or potassium concentration measuring means. Hereby, the deficiency wherein a conventional urine quantity measuring system has a complicated and expensive device constitution because a dedicated toilet bowl or a toilet seat is required, is removed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
