METHOD FOR CONNECTING THERMOPLASTIC RESIN PIPE AND THERMOPLASTIC RESIN PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for connecting thermoplastic resin pipes capable of simply performing the connection of the thermoplastic resin pipes and capable of simply replacing the cleavage part of an existing cable, and the thermoplastic resin pipe.;SOLUTION: In the method for connecting the thermoplastic resin pipes, the end parts of the thermoplastic resin pipes ready to be connected are abutted mutually and, after a hot electric wire is wound around the outer periphery of the abutted region, a current is passed through the abutted region to integrally weld and connect the end parts. Alternatively, a part of the thermoplastic resin pipe for forming the cable is cut over a predetermined length to be taken off and the longitudinally bisected thermoplastic resin pipe having the same length as the cut pipe is located at the taken-off place. Then, a first hot electric wire is mounted on the outer periphery of the longitudinally bisected region while a second hot electric wire is mounted on the outer periphery of the cut region of the thermoplastic resin pipe of the existing cable and a current is passed through the first and second hot electric wires to integrally weld and connect the abutted region.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
