PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an SMC with a conveyor belt/press roll process to smoothly keep the surface of the SMC, effective for improving the impregnation property of the resin paste and glass fiber and capable of efficiently excluding the included air.;SOLUTION: A lower carrier film 2 delivered from an unwinding apparatus 1 is placed on a conveyor belt 3, a resin paste 4 is applied on the lower carrier film 2 with a doctor 5, etc., to a prescribed thickness and a reinforcing fiber material 9 is deposited on the resin paste 4 by scattering the material on the paste. An upper carrier film 11 delivered from an unwinding apparatus 10 is coated with a resin paste 4 with a doctor 12, etc., to a prescribed thickness and placed on the reinforcing fiber material 9 in a state to be brought into contact with each other. After supplying the reinforcing fiber material 9 to the resin paste 4 by this process, the resin paste 4 is slowly impregnated into the reinforcing fiber material 9 by the step 13, the product is subjected to a bubble excluding step 14 and a step 15 to sufficiently impregnate the resin paste 4 to the reinforcing fiber material 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
