PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to realize the control of a plurality of recording heads without using a complicated logic circuit. ;SOLUTION: A data table which indicates control patterns relative to six control signals (COM11, COM12, COM21, COM22, UPPER ENABLE, LOWER ENABLE) corresponding to 64 recording elements for constituting a recording head is stored in a RAM 74. When a drive trigger is input to a read trigger generator 71, an address generator generates the address of the table stored in the RAM 74 as an address signal AD1 by taking it opportunity, and input to the RAM 74. On the other hand, the generator 71 inputs data read trigger to the RAM 74. The control signals read by these signals are input together with a heat pulse to a head driver 75, thereby driving a recording head.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
