PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a painted surface polishing device capable of cooling a polishing disc and a polished surface. ;SOLUTION: A rotor 10 includes a rotor main body 12 and an annular projected part 13 provided for the rotor main body 12, and it is so designed that a polishing disc 11 is mounted to the annular projected part 13 of the rotor 10 in such a way as to be freely demounted by means of hook-and-loop fasteners 14 and 15. The rotor main body 12 is provided with a plurality of air intake holes 16 communicating the outer surface with the inner surface and a fan blade, and a ventilating hole 23 is formed at the center part of the polishing disc 11. A plurality of cooling grooves 24 guiding air arrived at the ventilating hole 23 to the outer circumference of the polishing disc, are formed at the polishing surface of the polishing disc 11, so that air exhausted out by the fan blade due to the rotation of the rotor 10, is thereby to cool both the polishing surface and the polishing disc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
